So I downloaded a VLC .msi from these guys; VLC Player v2.2.0 MSI Installers Released - TechyGeeksHome (http://blog.techygeekshome.info/2015/03/vlc-player-v2-2-0-msi-installers-released/) (hope it's okay to post a link?) who looked fairly okay.
Somewhere hidden in that .msi though is system...
